Perfectly Preserved

A quick post to show a few more projects using the new "Perfectly Preserved" stamp set and matching dies and also the new woodgrain embossing folder. The little treat holder is from a tut I saw on Kay Kalthoff's blog. So cute!  Here is my projects.
This will be a class card next week.
I used fabric on the jar lid and tied with baker's twine.
After I embossed the 'cordination' DSP I sanded it a little to really make the core show up.
A quick peek at the inside.

Here is the treat holder which makes a cute "thank you" or "table favor" that I found on Kay's blog.
Here a view of the back of the jar treat holder.
Kay's looked so much cuter with 4 Hershey's nuggets inside, wrapped with DSP belly bands, but I didn't have any nuggets on hand and wanted to use this a "thank you" for an order, so I wrapped two small candy bars instead.
Well thanks so much for stopping by!

Perfect Fall Pears

Today's post is for The Paper Players challenge #109 "Paper Piecing". For my card I used a few of the new items in the Holiday mini: the "Perfectly Preserved" stamp set and "Framelit Dies" to match, as well the "Friendship Preserves" stamp set.  Here's my card.
It's really hard to see the jar in the photo, but I also shadowed it with some baja breeze ink. I die cut some extra pears and the jar top and covered with "International Bazaar" DSP and "Spiced Cake" fabric for the piecing elements.

The pears use both the DSP and fabric and
fabric on the lid, then tied with some bakers twine. I popped both  the pears and jar lid with dimensionals.
I stamped the sentiment with Friendship Preserves stamp and popped it up as well.

Here's a peek at the inside.
Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment.

Frightening Feline class card

My post today is just a fun card that the gals will making in my next class. I think they'll have some fun with the new stamp "Frightening Feline"...  so cute! I also used the new "Howlstooth & Scaringbone" DSP.  Here's my card.

I CASEd this layout from Mary Fish. I just love this new DSP and the cute kittie stamp is so cute. I used tangerine tango ribbon with the ribbon slide, and I since my tangerine tango embossing powder is on it's way I had to improvise with an orangey-copper color I had in my stash, but it's still worked out well don't you think?
Here's a peek at the inside using an older retired Ala carte stamp. Happy Halloween!

PALS Back to School!

HI there... can you believe I'm posting again! I had long spans of posting nothing and then Wham! Two posts in two days! I'm also going to use this card for Two challenges. The Pals Paper Arts color challenge using Real Red, Marina Mist and Summer Starfruit.
The second challenge is for The Paper Players theme challenge "Back to School RULES"! How Fun.
This card came easy to me as I needed something to send a check to my grand kids for school supplies so the timing for this challenge worked out perfectly! It will be in the mail tomorrow. Here's my card.
This card uses the colors for the PALS challenge and two older stamp sets; "Recess" and "First Day".
I colored the images with blender pens and ink. I stamped some background images on the card base, added a strip of Polka Dot Parade DSP, then popped up the focal point.
I added the A+ using dimensionals and the new scalloped circle punch and the older punch of the same.
Here's a peek at the inside using the "Letter It" alphabet set in the three challenge colors.
I think it's perfect to send a little sumpin' sumpin' for my little kiddies!

Well that's it for now. It sure is fun playing the challenges; takes all the guess work out of what to make.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment to let me know what you think!

SPOOKY Treats

Hi there! Today's post is going to be for two challenges. The first is for the Freshly Made Sketches #46 and the second is for Dynamic Duo color challenge #14 using Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wasabi.  Here's my card.

I didn't realize until I was finished that the main part of the card was smaller than an A2 size, so I when I was finished I mounted the back of the white cardstock to a single piece of  5 1/2" X 4 1/4" pumpkin pie and scallop punched the edge to match.
The front is embossed with the chevron EF, layered with a piece of scalloped wasabi, then another piece of  pumpkin Polka Dot Parade DSP.  The next two layers are cut with the Labels Framelits. I stamped the images from "Out on a Limb" and colored with markers.
I stamped the new 7/8" cotton ribbon with a sentiment from "Wicked Cool" and flagged the ends, then added a button to finish the front. When I was all done I went back and gave my kitty a few green rhinestone eyes. What do you think?
Here's a peek at the inside.

Well I really liked the "SPOOKY" on the cotton ribbon, so I stamped a few more. Then I decided to make some treat bags and used the new "Howlstooth & Scaringbone" DSP. Love that stuff!
I used the labels framelit for my base and three of the scallop circle punches (old and new sizes) to layer the Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP, and pumpkin and black card stock.
I'm sure I'll be using a LOT of both this DSP and cotton ribbon.
I stamped the little owl from Out on a Limb in white and used a black marker to polka dot the pumpkin scallop circle. I used sticky strip to attach the cotton ribbon between the DSP and card stock circles.
Done!

Thanks so much for Stopping by and I hope you leave a comment to let me know what you think.
Hugs
