Swallowtail

This is a quick post of my Swallowtail Butterfly card. At first I passed this stamp up in the catalog but started to see so many gorgeous cards posted, so I was sucked right in.
My card  is stamped in Versamark then heat embossed using pool party embossing powder on black cardstock. I popped this layer on pool party cardstock and then added to a crumb cake card base.
I embellished with a piece of the lace ribbon, a little vintage safety pin holding a tiny tag,  and I also broke down and purchased the distressing tool so I don't have to use my snips anymore. Here is my card.

I originally wasn't going to buy this stamp because I usually don't go for the LARGE images, and believe me when I say ... this stamp is HUGE!  But with a little practice I think I'm going to like it a LOT!

Thanks so much for stopping by and please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.
Hugs

Under the Weather [PP132]

This post is for the color challenge (132) at the The Paper Players , one of my favorite challenge blogs.
Just look at the fun colors picked by Ann.
Starfruit was one of those colors I didn't really like at first, but now I've learned to love it and especially with Midnight Muse. Here is my card.
All three challenge colors are found in the fun DSP. I used some midnight muse ribbon behind the primrose matted sentiment using the Bootiful Occasions set. Dimensionals were used to add interest to the focal point and the fussy snipped umbrella.  I added a few rhinestones to the umbrella which looks cute against the cloud embossed background, don't ya think?
I hope you leave a comment and thanks for stopping by!
