Well I just decided to participate this week in the Paper Players #14 -Clean & Simple challenge, which I found through my fabulous up-line, Nance, while visiting on her blog; Canopy Crafts.
For those that know me, 'clean and simple' is not my usual style and is very challenging for me to just STOP adding stuff.... I just get so carried away. So now that you figured out how I got to enter this challenge, here goes.
I started with some Crumb Cake CS and matted a piece of Woodland Walk DSP to Early Expresso CS on the top two thirds of the EE, and a piece of Very Vanilla CS to the bottom third. I stamped the sentiment from the set "A Word for You" in EE, and stamped the little tree from the set "Funky Four". I stamped the tree again and cut out the top and popped it up with a dimension.
To finish it off I wrapped a piece of EE grosgrain ribbon around the mat, secured to the back and added a simple knot bow with a glue dot before adhering the entire mat to the card base. That's it... Done!
Pretty simple............. right?
Hootie say "Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment".

Di, I think you may have found a new comfort zone! Love your clean and simple card and really like the Woodland Walk DSP (how'd I miss that one). The Expresso ribbon with the green is so pretty.
Good luck on the challenge.
This is beautiful Diane! Such a great way to showcase the gorgeous Woodland Walk DSP. It's all perfect the sentiment, the paper, the tree. I think you hit the CAS nail on the head. Thanks so much for joining us at the Paper Players this week!
