Today's post is for the Watercooler Llama HOP... and we are to use the retiring Stampin' UP IN colors (Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade and Peach Parfait ) with a Spring Theme. If you are following the HOP from the beginning you have arrived here after viewing the wonderful project from Joanne's blog. Hope you're having fun along the way. Now here is my "Colors of Spring" HOP card.
I started with a blushing bride card base, then layered with pear pizzazz and concord crush cardstock mats. The whisper white piece was stamped with blooms from "Field Flowers" and "Fast and Fabulous" using all the IN colors, which I thought made a beautiful spring bouquet. I hope you click on the photo to see the pretty colors up close and personal.
Next I back stamped another bloom in blushing bride on a piece of whisper white and over stamped that with the sentiment from "Easter Blossoms" in concord crush ink. I punched this out using the curly label punch and popped it up with dimensionals on another concord crush piece punched with the decorative label punch.
I added a snippet of concord crush ribbon to the back with sticky strip and also added two pearls to each side. This was popped up with dimesionals as well to give some interest.
Here's a peek at the inside using all the IN colors and a sentiment from "Curly Cute".
I always like to add a bit of my design to the envelope as well; I just like it.
I also created another card using the Summer Smooches DSP which was CASED from Gretchen Barron, but changed a few colors. I think this card is So fun!
I used the Summer Smooche DSP which has the colors of Daffodil Delight, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Lucky Limeade, Island Indigo, Tangerine Tango, and Rich Razzleberry. I also used Whisper White for the stamped image of my card
I am not the best photographer (lighting) but it really has a bright and cheery feel. It has a daffodil delight cardbase, and the sentiment and image are matted with rich razzleberry and pacific point. .
Then a few punched butterflies dressed up with a large rhinestone body and a daffodil seam binding bow.
The sentiment is from the Pursuit of Happiness Stamp Set. Additional embellishments and tools used include the Scallop Border Punch, Butterfly Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Basic Rhinestones and Stampin' Write Markers. I colored directly on the rubber to stamp the whimsical flower images.
Here's a peek at the inside of the second card.
Well that's it!
