Postage Due class card

Another quick post of one of the cards I'll be doing in my next class. Although I've done the technique many times, the layout is a CASE from Dawn Griffith. Here my card.
Stamp the image "Postage Due" twice: Black on white, white on black. Tear center of one piece and line with up with image on the second piece. Glue down. trim edges.

Add the ribbon loops to the back with sticky strip. The pop dot with dimensionals to a black mat piece..

Inside sentiment is from "Curly Cute".  I used the torn piece from the WW as an accent piece for the inside.
Real Red, Whisper White, Basic Black CS. Stazon Black, Whisper White inks.
. Although I've done this technique many times I did get this layout from Dawn Griffith at Dawn's Stamping Studio. Give this technique a try... it's really easy and the results look like so much work. NOT!
Well that's it. Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment and let me know what you think!

Sending Warm Wishes

This is another quick post for a simple message. I sure wish I was sending more "Happy" time cards instead of so many "Get Well" cards, but life sometimes throws us a curve, so I just have to go with the flow.
Here is my card.
It's pretty straight forward.  I used some DSP from the series stack and stamped a sentiment then glued to the front. I stamped the small image circle from the "Mixed Bunch" in a row of  multi-colors (primrose, poppy, tangerine, daffodil, starfruit) on whisper white and added another sentiment. Wrapped some thread around the top and glued to the bottom front.
I die cut a large scallop circle from the backing of a tablet and laid it right on the ink pad. Then I hot glued a button to the center and wrapped embroidery thread around the scallops and the button to create my 'sun'; and taped the ends in back. I popped it up with dimensionals.
Here's a peek at the inside and of course I like to add a touch to my envelopes too!

Flip back and Flop!

Today I have a quick post of a card I made for a friend recouping after surgery on his foot. I thought I'd CASE a card I saw back in May on Erin Lincoln's blog; a DT member from PTI. Since he is very limited to where he can move I think it will send a message to 'relax' and heal. Here is my card.
Now most of you know I take terrible photos; wrong lighting and where I have good lighting I get flashback from glass tables, metal objects, you name it.. always messes up my  shot. ... but I assure you that it's prettier in person. The teal is bright and colors are blended well... it just doesn't show here. I was going to take another photo until I realized I sealed the envelope!
Here's a peek at the inside.
I told you it was a QUICK post!
Thanks for stopping by. Please come again!
