This is a quick post of my Swallowtail Butterfly card. At first I passed this stamp up in the catalog but started to see so many gorgeous cards posted, so I was sucked right in.
My card is stamped in Versamark then heat embossed using pool party embossing powder on black cardstock. I popped this layer on pool party cardstock and then added to a crumb cake card base.
I embellished with a piece of the lace ribbon, a little vintage safety pin holding a tiny tag, and I also broke down and purchased the distressing tool so I don't have to use my snips anymore. Here is my card.

I originally wasn't going to buy this stamp because I usually don't go for the LARGE images, and believe me when I say ... this stamp is HUGE! But with a little practice I think I'm going to like it a LOT!
Thanks so much for stopping by and please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.
Hugs

Oh how beautiful is this! Love the embossed image it really makes it pop especially on the black cs. Your use of the lace with the little tag is just the right touch & doesn't detract from the focal image. I've been holding off using this stamp (don't know why) and I know what you mean about it being a huge stamp! Great looking card.
Beautiful, Diane! I love the touch of lace!
Beautiful card Diane. You did justice to it with the pool party embossing on the black card stock. It is a huge stamp isn't it and I too have seen some fabulous cards done with it.
There are a couple of other techniques that I have seen done with this stamp and I will be trying them out. Hugs Karen
This is a large stamp but you definitely made it work! Exquisite card, Diane! I love the embossed look you created using Pool Party!
Oh my goodness, did you say Pool Party embossing powder?! My favorite color! It looks amazing on black with this beautifully detailed image.
