NO Mo Jo Monday

Hi everyone... I  really wanted to post something but my MO JO was gone!
Now what do I do when that happens????  I CASE something. Don't You?
So tonight's post was pretty easy... since I had NO Mo Jo
All you have to do is turn to one of your favorite designers and before you know it... you're cruising along at top speed!
I wanted to do something vintage so OF course I turned to Ann Schach the queen of vintage, at least she is for me. So that was an EASY choice.
I LOVE her beautiful vintage style and I remembered a card she did back in January that blew me away; with that said...here is my CASE card.
Not sure why this photo looks so light, but it's really a marina mist blue CS base, but it looks more like bashful blue doesn't it? Anyway, I took a piece of Kraft CS and ran it through the BS using the new framed tulips embossing folder (love it), and distressed with some close to cocoa ink and glued to the front.

Then I layered the Botanical Gazette DSP (birdcage) inside the framed tulips and to the right side; I distressed this piece of DSP with some marina mist ink.
I went right to work "trying" to scrunch the crumb cake seam binding and finally stuck it down... whew! When I pulled the middle strings.... dang string kept pulling out so finally gave up. I lined this with the tiny string of pearls on both sides of the seam binding and put a few on the top of the cage handle.

I took another piece of the same DSP and ran it through the framed tulips EF then tore the edges and distressed with close to cocoa ink on the torn edge AND on the embossed tulips (thanks for this tip Ann) with a dauber. Doesn't it look cool?

Next I stamped the bird from Nature Walk (LOVE this set) on marina mist CS in Early Espresso then cut it out and distressed with Close to Cocoa ink and popped it up with a dimensional. Of course it needed a pearl eye.

A couple of punches from the two step bird punch made easy foliage using the leaf branches and bird wings scored down the middle and highlighted with a marker. I also colored my vanilla Rosette with a marker in pumpkin pie. All were  stuck down with glue dots.

The last two little creatures (butterfly & bee) also from the Nature Walk set were stamped, distress and glittered up with some stickles and a small pearl on each, then stuck with a few more dimensionals.

Now for a peek at the inside with touches from the front. Haven't decided on the sentiment yet so I left it blank.

Well that's it for now... "THANKS ANN" for your never-ending inspiration! Although your card has much more detail,  I hope I did your CASE proud!
Hootie says "Thanks for stopping by and please leave a  comment"!
I really love them all!

Diane, great job, love all of the little details, the pearls, scrunchy ribbon and the little critters, so cute. Nice touch too with the distressing of the EF tulip edge and the bird is perfect, very nice job.

Stunning card Diane. It doesn't matter how the mojo appears, it's just fun to get the "ink on the fingers". You picked a real fabulous stamper to case. I think it's the time of the year and we are all getting cabin fever.
