RED White & BLUE for the PPA 136 challenge

Hi everyone. Just returned from working in Mexico and glad to be home. I was still able to peek at few blogs during lunch and noticed the PPA was having a new color challenge. So this post is for the  Pals Paper Arts Color challenge 136...the colors are Real Red, Night of Navy and Whisper White.

I just made this card before I left on my trip and think it will work just fine for the challenge. Such great colors and they make me feel like the Fourth of July! Here's my card.
Then sentiment is from Perfectly Penned, then I scored the card base at random angles.
The embellishment was made from the packing paper that comes in my many boxes of Stampin' UP supplies! I really like how it turned out so... This may become a habit. I stamped the paper with stars and stripes, then assembled the center with a brad. I also cut the sprial from a cardboard tablet back and used a few glue dots to attach to the card front.
Here's a peak at the inside... this photo is rather blurry but you get the idea...right?
Hootie says " Hoot Hoot Hooray... Thanks for stopping by today!
Please leave a comment with your thoughts; I hope you will stop by again!"

Hi Diane! Wow, this is one fun and festive card! Love how you created that fun flower with the SU packing paper. I always tell myself to find another use for it and now I have your awesome inspiration. Such a creative idea. Hope your trip went well! Welcome home! Hugs! :)

Diane, you are so ingenious using the packing paper to stamp on. Love how your card turned out with the red, white and blue. The flower is great and the inside is fabulous. Glad to see that you are home and maybe you will get to spend some time stamping. Work travel is so exhausting. Take care. Hugs

Such a great card--and even better that it's so very 'green' in all that red, white, and blue! What a great and artistically-creative way to recycle!
