My FIRST MDS print project- Grandkids 2011

Hi there.
Seems I'm having trouble keeping up my blog posts lately and feel like I just can't catch up. I'm off to visit my grandchildren in a few weeks and needed to take my annual scrapbook gift. However, I didn't even have it completed... until today!
I've been busy, busy, busy at work and also must travel out of the country all next week so I was in scramble mode all day.  I did manage to finish and thought I'd take a few photos to share with you.
As most of you know I started as a scrapbooker and annually I made a scrapbook for EACH of my grandkids.  I have to admit as each child came along it was more and more difficult to do layouts without the others in the background, so I began to combine them into ONE. Now that are three little angels, the photos have become more and more sparse as well coming from my sweet daughter. However... even with that excuse, I have been SO far behind since stamping has taken over my world, that I had to do some scrambling this year. Thank goodness for the MDS software purchase I made last year. What a time saver.
Here's what I ended up with.
I added CS for the Cover and covered that with retired DSP. These photos look rather blah, but I assure you it's much more bright & cheery in person. I embellished it a bit some wide-stripped and polka-dot ribbon, then added a few Fun Flowers die blossoms with glitter brad centers.
Here's a few close ups of my flowers and the year.
They usually get the scrapbooks for Christmas! Yes it does say 2011... I told you I was behind!

This was my first experience trying the SU printing for my MDS project. I ordered regular printing and stacked them back to back, then took them to Kinko's and had the edges bound. Then I used Tom Bow glue (dot dot dot) in the corners and along the edge to bind the blank pages together. Now when they turn the pages it will read like a regular scrapbook. Worked out perfectly. Here is a few samples of the 40 pages in no particular order.
This is the first page of my sweet family... Dena, Doug, Hannah, Becca & Brian.
Skating competition.
Easter Egg Hunt
Brian's train for mastering the potty. He struggled doing his business: it's a poop poop toot toot!
Summer visit to Michigan to see Gramma and Papa.
Trip to Uncle Larry's cottage.... fun on the lake
Driving the boat back to make our bonfire and roast marshmallows.
Thanks for taking a peek..... I hope they like it, even though it's digital this time.

Hootie says " Hoot Hoot Hooray... Thanks for stopping by today!"
Please leave a comment with your thoughts; I hope you will stop by again!

Being busy with work is no fun and it sure cuts into the card making and scrapbooking time. Hugs
