December Fun!!!

Quick post to show some of the treat TAGS I've been making for class and also for some small exchange gift of a few Christmas Dinner Get-to-Gethers that are coming up.
The first is from PTI dies and stamp set... Santa and Snowman treat holders. These also work great on jar of Pepper Jelly, etc. or a small 2" diameter candle.

Here is the snowman holding some Trail Mix.

I also made 8 holding little treat bags I made with DSP and another tags. These will be for class on Wednesday and if you want to peek... I posted them on Pinterest.

Here are some other tags I made for my Torch Lake Girls group dinner treat.
Here is close up of a couple.
Now lastly... a few cards the girls will make in class.
I made several versions of this one. Some may not want to use for Christmas. I also have a few January birthdays coming up.

Guess who this is going to???
I'm waiting for our first real SNOW! ....Nancy!

Sorry just one more... An Oldie but a Goodie and easy to make.
Here is the inside.

Well thanks for stopping by!
Merry Christmas!
Hugs

November Class Cards

A quick post to show 3 of the 4 cards the girls will be making tonight. The 4th card they choose from left over kits of previous classes. I have so many kits I'm getting buried in them, so I decided to use them as the 4th card until I thin out the piles.

This first card of the gift stack is variation of a card the girls made in a previous month using the same stamp set. I really like this set because it can be Christmas, Birthday, Graduation, Shower or whatever other occasion you give a gift! The colors help to determine the "mood" of the card too.

This next one is just a warm and cozy feeling.... especially here in Michigan at this time year.
It too can be used for many occasions and made in many different colors.
The 3rd card is a way for me use up some old DSP as background paper. I really love the double stacked ornament die. Again there are so many variations you can do with color,  DSP and Cardstock.
All you need is imagination!

I hope they like these 3... and as I said, they can pick their 4th.
So who ever gets done first will have first pick!

More FALL FUN

I am having so much fun making FALL FAVORS for my card class girls and the people at work that I've literally spent DAYS in my basement die cutting and gluing favors for Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas!  They turned out so cute, but I don't want to post too early and spoil them seeing the treats.

So instead.......  I will post a random card I made using some scraps of DSP.  Here is my card.

This is a new JAR die I purchased... I have about 5 now between SU and other companies. They are all different, but I really have a lot of ideas waiting to evolve! So look forward to that!

I also used a touch of the two scrap DSPs inside. Can you see the tiny strip of black I trimmed from the top piece?  It almost seems like one paper.. However, I didn't use an inside sentiment yet, but I like the mix of papers - I think it gives interest. ....  Right?

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

Happy FALL

October Class Fun

Next month I decided to have a different plan for my class. I have several left over kits as well as some new ones. So decided to leave them on the side table and let the girls pick which 4 cards they want to make.  As you know there are some from my previous posts and I will share just a few of the new ones I have prepared.
In the end I think they'll have about 10 kits to choose from!

The first card is a little bit of Thanksgiving Gratefulness in Soft Suade and Creamy Caramel.

Moving right into Christmas... I just have to get started on my cards or I won't get the 90 I need finished until the week of Christmas!
The DSP on this card is retired but I just loved it so I am happy I stocked up on it a few years ago.

This could be for just about anything FALL.
Another version using complimentary stamp set to the one above.

Another Christmas card, but again the gifts can be used as a whole, or cut apart to be used for Birthday or Showers. They look fabulous in any colors of the rainbow.

Thanks for stopping by, and won't you please leave a comment and let me know what you think?

Fall Fun For Friends

Here are few more cards I made for the Fall.
The first is for a friend recovering from surgery. It was a rough road, but hopefully he is on the mend.
The second reminds me of Fall... ever though it is year round tree for a porch, etc.

The third is much like the second.... a porch greenery shrub/bush/tree.... ???
I really like this set of stamps and dies... if you look close you can see how it cuts the small pine blades on the zoomed photo.
Very simple but I like both!

If you look close you can see the paper piercing around the tree. I off centered the tree to the piercing and added some enamel dots for interest and balance. I also chose to stamp the sentiment at an angle.
One or two of these may make my next class! Which one do like best?

Thanks so much for stopping by... please leave a comment and tell me what you think.

September Class Choices

A quick post to show a few kits I have made up ... I need to pick 4 for my September class and I keep changing my mind. I always try to have at least 2 cards that are simple and then 2 cards that are a little more complex.
So here are my choices.
The first is a Stampin' UP set that is a pretty simple design. I think this is a keeper for the September class. The girls can create and chat at the same time while making this one.

A simple card that uses the new banner punch and SU stamps which can be used  for many occasions. I really like that the punch has images for both orientations.  One for banner sentiments and 'upside down' for bird cages!

Some super simple stamping and a little fussy cutting on the giraffes help to create
a couple of 'Baby' cards using older SU sets.
Another simple card using PTI dies; both for the design and sentiment.
This is a more complex  design, but not difficult. It will take the girls a little longer on this card just to assemble since there is a lot of little pieces. They also have to do some coloring with markers, die cutting a pumpkin from the new glitter paper and then figuring the spacing for their layout using a mixture of both companies' supplies.
This card I made for an Intern that was leaving at work. I already decided NOT to do this in the September class. Perhaps later in the year.
I just love this card die cutout. So easy.... Here is two color variations of the same die cut and I decided to move this one to next month when most of the girls will want to do some Christmas cards. You will  have zoom in on this blue card to see the blue frosty snow intertwined in Santa's beard.

I hope you liked my card choices.

August Class Cards

Another quick post for my August card class. This is 3 of the 4 cards the girls will be making.
I even gave them a choice between cards in some of the stations.

They can make of the two Star cards above. This is made using items from both SU products and other great stamp supplier products.

This card just says Summer to me.... Lemonade!

This "idea" of the layout of this card is a CASE from Dawn McVey of PTI...

I hope the girls like them as much as me!

Hugs.
Diane.

Getting a Jump on July!

Hi friend(s)... you know who you are.
8-)

I only have two birthdays in June... but... I have about 10 July birthdays, so I decided to get a jump on July birthday cards.  Here are just a few for your review.

The first one uses the new sets and 3 step stamping... I fussy cut the top blossom and popped it up with Dimensionals.  I added some faint raindrops to the background using two different stamps and also a few 3D raindrop clear embellishments.  It is hard to see in the post, but up close they really do look like water drops!
Here is a peek at the inside. I haven't even added a sentiment yet, because I'm still not sure if this going to be Birthday card or not!

This is for a friend at work who has a birthday that's always over looked because of the holiday celebrations! ... so guess I maybe shouldn't use the "flag" theme...right?

The last card is just a JULY birthstone card. Thought this theme was light and airy

That's all for now!
Won't you let me know what you think?

Another... Wacky Wedding Card story

Hi everyone. I want to share another wedding card I made in one day.  A dear friend at work came up to me and asked if I could/would make a "special" wedding card for her OF COURSE was my response... and then I asked.  When do you need it?  She said Saturday... it was now Wednesday.
Holy Moly! I thought about it and said I HAD to do it TONIGHT! (Wed.... LAST NIGHT).. because Thursday is my golf day... and she was off Friday... and the wedding was Saturday!

I shouldn't have asked question #2..... any special colors?  YES if you could! They are deep purple, green and orange! I said.... WHAT?????  Sounds like Halloween.
She also commented if you can't do that, maybe "love birds"?
I said "Can you be more specific on the colors?"
She said I can send you a flower arrangement from the shower.... OK.
So this is what she sent to me.

I laughed and said there is NO orange in this arrangement?  Then she said her bridal bouquet will have touch of tiny orange-ish flowers.

I softly sighed... whew! I can do that....
So I went home after work, cleaned the kitchen after supper and began my mission....
Here is my results.

I know it looks black in the photo, but if you zoom... you can see it is really deep purple.

Here is peek at the inside... I managed to add a few "love birds" too.
I brought it in today and she LOVED it!  Ahhh success.
Please let me know what YOU think!

May & June Pretties

Hi everyone! I hope you all had Lovely Mother's Day! My post today is show a custom card I made for co-worker request for a wedding.  She wanted an Over-sized card  and colors in Black / White / Gold.  Hmmmm  What to do?
I played around and played around and played around with several ideas. I finally settled on the this...
There is lot going on here... I used the Su framelit dies and circle punches. Plus the Gold CS, and Black & White DSP plus a piece of polka dotted overlay from an old DSP pack.

The gold paper under the card is the SU envelope paper. I made a matching envelope as well.
Here is  peek at the inside.

The second card we will be making in the June Class.
This card was made using PTI background stencils, Stamps and Dies.

Would love to hear what you think.

May Class - Treat Box

Just another quick post to show you the treat boxes I made last night for my next class. I seriously was only going to die cut them out and assemble this weekend. Well guess I just got "into" my work and the next thing I knew.... 8 boxes were done!

Here is my work in progress. First to die cut and adhere two sides together.
Then I  taped the bottom closed.
I was still watching the shows I DVR during the week so I began to make some tags.

When I was finished they looked so plain I die cut and stamped a few flowers and glued to the side of the label. The centers and stems are in green

I attached to the boxes and was going to quit.... so I closed up the box to see what it will look like. Still something missing.. right?

So when in doubt.... Add a Bow!
