Paper Players Tic Tac Toe {273} Challenge

Hi there ...
Well it's been a LONG time since I entered a challenge, but it's been a crazy busy year for me.
Today's post is for the Paper Players Tic Tac Toe challenge {273}.  However.... I JUST noticed "snowflake" in the corner and I thought I messed this up too because I was looking at the Snowflake and forgot I went horizontal!

I used the Snowflake Embossing Folder - with a few pearls for my Sparkle/Shine and Night of Navy for the Blue.  Next time I'll print the Tic Tac Toe board instead of trying to remember my objective!
Oh well... here is my card.
The Night of Navy is so dark it looks like black.
The was also the 14th card kit I had for my open house with the other 13 cards in my previous post.

Stamp-A-Stack Saturday! (SAS)

Hello Stampers!

I have to say I am very excited to be hosting my very FIRST Stamp-A-Stack this coming Saturday. The whole idea came up when I asked my regular monthly card class girls if they would be interested in doing an additional Christmas Card class in November.

Then... oh my goodness... it was like the hen house opened up for an egg sale. Everyone had so may ideas and also asked if they could bring a guest.... hmmm.
... which lead me to ask if they might want a Stamp-A-Stack (SAS).

After I explained it a bit, they all loved the idea...so we'll see how it goes.

I printed up a Simple "Rules" hand-out to follow,  including items such as: step out of the moving 'circle' if they wish to chat, grab a snack, or just take a break.

I plan to have 12 - 14 kit bins.... I will set a timer for 15 minutes ( I searched my phone bell tones and chose an old a-UuuuGa Horn ring tone sound for my timer). Can you hear it in your head?

Also if they don't finish when the timer goes off: they pick up their card items and move on to the next bin; however, They can come back and finish at the end. I am hoping this will keep a few of my gals focused.
I am trying to keep the cards simple and keep the materials moving without having one person hold up a bin or monopolize a bin. They can make as many cards as they like, but I ask they listen for the timer and keep moving if they are stamping. I won't let them do two of same in a row, they must give the others a chance to make one,  first.

There will be some brand NEW STAMPERS TOO! A few girls from work and few from my neighborhood! Yippee... Love Newbies! Maybe I'll get more customers, OR a new class?

Well here are the 13 kits I have made:

Do you have a favorite????
Please let me know what you think?

Happy FALL!

I made these cute little scarecrow treat boxes from the Curvy Keepsake die and Dawn's video tutorial.

Aren't they just adorable!

I just love having a table favor at card class, and using the Curvy Keepsake die to make tons of different animals and items, makes it super easy.

Happy FALL!!!

FALL COLORS!!!

Here is a peak at a few of the cards I'll be doing in our November class.
The first I did CASE from my up-line Nance Leedy... who did a CASE from Linda Callahan.  The CASE is using the Post-It Tape technique.
I have to say this will be one of my FAVORITE techniques going forward. I can't wait to try it out with other colors.

I love using the Post-It Tape to mask off the section that is inked and blended. So easy and no risk of the paper moving on you. Then it comes off nice and clean and I added the black images.
Another is using some favorite retired DSP and a fun PTI die.
I really wanted to make an Anniversary card with the pear that says "The lovely pair" but I forgot to order the hostess set Silhouette & Script  in my last SU order!

Boss's Day!

Today is Boss's Day if you didn't know that... and since I have 3 layers of Boss's ...
(V.P., Director and Manager) .... I decided to make them each a little bag of goodies.
Also ... they are all German and freshly transplanted here for 3 year terms.

These are the "dotted treat bags" from SU. I used some die cut leaves and a couple of tags to decorate the outside.

The inside has cello bags filled with a surprise mixture my friend Sherriee turned us stampers on to a few years ago at our weekly get-together. It's Salted Peanuts / Candy Corn mixture... it creates a yummy 'sweet & salty' taste in your mouth.
k
Since I took these photos,  I decided to change the mixture to taller cello bags and then I tied with Pistachio and Pumpkin colored twine. Then I added a cute little "sugar, sugar"  To/From tag and clipped it to the twine with a mini clothespin.
Here is  a closer look at the banner treat tag.

I get to work about an hour before each of them, so I was able to put one on each of their desks. They were soooooooo surprised! One of them asked me if this was a "Real Day" in the USA.... funny.

I think the FALL theme turned out cute; but masculine enough to handle all the embellishments.
 What do YOU think?

Birthday for my BFF

Today's post is a quick look at the little som'thin som'thin for my BFF. Her birthday is the 10th and even though we've agreed... No More Birthday Gifts, we always seem to get just a little something.

I stamped her card using the PTI set "Fashion Sense" in SU inks Watermelon, Hello Honey, So Saffron... the flowered dress is stamped using those plus a few more; Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade, & Lost Lagoon.
The card front is covered in a gold embossed vellum from PTI. The ladies image is pop dotted to the front.  A small SU button with BFF tied to it identifies it's owner.

I made the matching tag & bag to hold just a tiny something....  You will have zoom in this to see it.

The card was completely stamped with inks, but on the bag tag, I stamped then I fussy cut the dress to match the retired SU DSP.  DSP is glued on both sides of the bag, and the tag is tied on with a pretty bow.
Hope she likes it!

Freshly Made Sketches - #200 Posts challenge!!!

I am re-posting my card from a few days ago as I want to enter the Freshly Made Sketches challenge to celebrate the #200th Sketch. I remember the FIRST one! I just love this design team and never forget to peek each week and try to use the creativity on my own cards.
Here is the sketch for the #200 challenge:

Here is my card:
All the work is done by the gorgeous Farmer's Market DSP.
Thanks for giving us a chance to win a great prize too!

I scream for Ice Cream, You scream BOO!

Today's post will showcase a few cards made from the New items in the Annual & Holiday catties.

This first card is easy-peasy letting the gorgeous Farmer's Market DSP do all the work.

This next card used the new punch to make my ice cream cones, but it could also be a bushel basket, a cloud, or a tree! So many uses.

The third card uses the new Woodlands embossing folder, "Among the Branches" set, "Happy Scenes" set, the Spider web doily, the BOO to You dies, and the fence PTI die.

Hugs to You!

August Class

Hi there everyone.
Tonight is the First Wednesday of the Month, which means it's Class Night! Here are 3 of the 4 cards that we will make for the August class.

The first is using mostly retired supplies, but I still like them all.

The second is using the new You've Got This background stamp, as well as TWO of the Hostess sets: Happy Birthday Everyone and Best Thoughts

The third is a set from PTI using the heat emboss resist technique. Pretty simple layout but I like it.

Each is a little different as far as the icing decoration....
and a "Open Here" stamp guides you to the goodies inside.

and finally here are the table favors for the girls. Some yummy filled pieces of cake!

Thanks for stopping by!

Gull Lake Goodie Bags!

Hi there everyone.
Just a quick post to show the little gift my gal pal Nancy... from Nanc's Niche of Stamping and me are donating to our annual 'Gull Lake Golf Trip' goody bags.
We decided to make a package of all occasion cards for each girl in our group of golfers.

Nancy made this gorgeous butterfly card. I just LOVE that polka dot DSP peeking out.

I made this quick and easy watercolor card using the new "You've Got This" set.

Nancy and I seemed to be on the same color Vibe for our last two choices of easy-peasy. One is easy-peasy using the SWISH stamps and the other is easy-peasy letting the DSP do the work.
We had to make 20 cards of each design.
Then we made the little packages of 4 cards; one of each design.

We each made two cards then packaged them up in packs of 4 with envelopes, then wrapped with belly bands! Aren't they cute!
Nancy made these cute little address labels to reinforce our belly band ..... and try to direct them to visit our blogs..... right?

We are hoping the girls will love them as much as we do..... Of COURSE THEY WILL!
Looking forward to another wonderful golf trip!

July Class Fun

Just a quick post to show what we'll be doing in the July class, or at least 3 of the 4 cards per class that I kit and have ready to go. I like to have a couple simple cards and a couple with more complex features. The stations are set up Easy/Hard/Easy/Hard. This makes the timing go more smoothly and everyone seems to finish at the same time.  The Number 4 card is still a mystery!

Since I just returned from driving my grand kids half way home to meet mom/dad after a 3 week visit with gramma in Michigan, I had NO time to be creative. So again I will be using a few CASE cards I found during visits to some of my favorite blog designers.

The first is a CASE from Linda Callahan, one of my favorite designers.  I love her style and humor.

The second is a new set I purchased from PTI. The cherries are coated with crystal effects and I think the entire card looks much cuter in person than in this picture.

And what could more simple than a bunch of punched shapes!

Thanks for stopping by.

The CASE of NO MoJo..... Again!

Well I'm in half way into week 2 of the 3 week visit of my grand kids and I'm already getting worn out!  Guess I just can't hang like I used to.  I've been going to work Tues-Thurs to get some rest. John watches them Monday & Friday. He's is so good with them.
Here is a picture of them .... aren't they cute?
They are such a joy and they all want to craft too. They also spotted the left over Kits from my card classes .... So I've spent many hours in my craft space helping them make up those kit cards for everyone they know.
With that said, I have had NO MOJO left over for originality and once again I had to defer to someone else for the creativity and CASED a few cards I needed for family members and friends.
The first one I CASEd from Mary Fish... I love the blackberry color and this card looked so pretty. She used the newer papers and a different stamp set, but still it's a CASE.

Here is a peek at the inside.

The second one I CASEd from ME! I made this card earlier this year for a work friend that took and passed a motorcycle class. Her card was done in red & black & white. She called me last Monday and said another gal from work took and passed the same class. She asked if I would duplicated my previous card,  but I did this one in pink and gray.  The background chevron is supposed to represent the tire treads of the big Harley Davison bikes.

The third card I CASEd from one of the designers at PTI.  PTI is another one of my FAVORITE stamp / die stops each month. The one thing I REALLY love about PTI is almost all their stamps have matching dies.  I just have to STOP purchasing monthly!
..... I am pretty sure I have a serious " I can't live without that set" problem!
Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment. I love to hear what you think.
