Holiday Spirit is in the Air!

It's getting to be that time of year again. We all start thinking of the Holidays and wonder just WHAT do we plan first! Right? So much happens so quickly.... No sooner do the little Gobblins leave your porch; that the Thanksgiving guests come filing through the front door.  If that's not enough to get your stress going.... and while the turkey is cooking, you start wondering how will I get my Christmas cards in the mail on time.

Well at least that's my mind set....
So with that in mind... here are few of the cards I am planning for the November Card class.

I plan to use the one card below (white with 3 die cut trees) again this month.  It was huge hit with the girls and it looks fabulous in many different DSP colors. Use your imagination and picture it in Cherry Cobbler, or Soft Pinks, or the many shades of Greens... or how about Black and White?

The next card is just a fun Winter Theme.... The air is crisp and you can feel winter right around the corner. This card's focal point - bird on a mailbox -  is highlighted by the many winter words of the back ground stamps. Does it make you want to cozy up with a cup of Hot Cocoa?

I changed up the color scheme in each card, but the overall design is still the same.
Which do you prefer?

Okay....I'll fess up. That really isn't a mailbox; it's a "for sale" sign. However, I snipped the hanging portion off because it was too distracting in black.  If you tilt your head and use your imagination you WILL see a mailbox. Right?

There will two more cards for class, but as of this posting I'm not committed to anything particular yet. However, I will share a card I made to send my grandkids Halloween $$$ Treat to them. It has long since been mailed but I still wanted to share. I did CASE this card from another blog, but can't remember which one ... sorry.

I really do like how it turned out.

November class? .... Oh no can't wait!

I was going to save these two for my November class but decided... OH NO! Can't wait .. it will be too late if someone wants to use for a Christmas card. If they are anything like me... I should be starting my Christmas cards NOW!
Both of these are easy and can be use for either a winter birthday or Christmas Here are the two cards.

.... Since I have several birthdays in December and January... I love the Winter Wishes card and will be using for them for birthdays for sure!

Not sure why these are showing so 'dull'... perhaps because I forwarded from my phone text ????
In person they are beautiful. One uses Old Olive the other has Baja Breeze as the accent color.
If you zoom it may show better.
Oh well .... hope the girls in the October class like them as much as me.

OCTOBER CLASS

Wow... I just can't believe it's October Class "prep" time already. I am going to share two of the kits I have ready for the October class.

The first is Super Simple! Begin by adding some fun party DSP to the top half of the card. Round the corner for interest. Die cut the Large EVER..... and choose your occasion... such as Best Friend Ever! Or Best Day Ever!.... Here I chose a birthday theme.
Best Birthday Ever!

I die cut the Cake and use sponges or daubers to blend the inks from light to darker. Then stamp a sentiment to match the occasion. Use a dimensional to POP the cake up!
Done!

The second card is easy but takes a little time.
First use the Swirls cover plate die with one cutting plate and embossing hard rubber plate to cut
in to the card front but not through. IF you zoom in you can see the fun swirl design.

Then die cut the dinosaurs and stamp in the colors of your choice...Arrange your creatures however you like.  I added a balloon to the T-Rex and this helps to carry the "RAAAA" themed circle.
Pretty cute ... right?
Thanks for Stopping!

Just in Thyme

Here is a quick post using a new die and stamp set of herbs.
The first herb is Mint
Here is peek at the inside.
I will have to play around with the words and see what I can come up for any other cards.

The second card is Thyme.

Now I'll have to work with parsley.

June Class Choices

A quick post to show you a few of the choices the girls will have to pick from for the June Card Class. I can hardly believe it's JUNE already!
The first card is a fun shoe print which can be masculine or feminine and would be great for any runners that you know. Since June is also Father's Day  and I especially like this stamp set, I think this card would work perfectly. Not only can it be a "Father's Day" card, it would work great for a Masculine Birthday too.
This set also contains many cute sentiments for the insoles. If you zoom in you can read these two.
Below is a peek at the inside of the card on the left that I'm using for friend going through chemo.
Below is another all occasion card layout where you can make your own background patterns. This looks so different depending on the colors used. I also made several using greens and yellows.
The next is another easy peasy card to create when you need a card in a pinch. I have made several and left the inside blank. I will stamp the sentiment I need depending on the occasion.
This card uses the skate and swirl star die cut as well as a swish cover plate die.
The girls do 4 cards at class, and I usually give out 3 and let them pick the 4th one.
I hope they like these 3 of the 6 card kits I have prepared.

May Class Card "Nesting"

Today is another very quick post showing ONE of the four May Class Cards. In hind-sight I wish I would have dry embossed the card front with a wood or tree pattern. It seems a little plain, but I can live with it the way it is...and here it is.
I used SU's 'soft suade' card stock for the card base, and SU inks. The stamps and dies are not SU.
I really love this stamp set and matching dies... so many choices and combinations can be used. Here I used the dies for the birds, egg and nest, and also the cover plate with outline and branches.
I kept the colors muted as I am not in "spring/summer" mode yet due to the wonky one day nice, next yucky.... it's rain, cold, hot, nice, rain, cold, hot, nice weather patterns that we've been having here.

Anyway... let me know what you think.
Happy Spring!

April Class Picks

Hi there!
Just a quick post of two of the "many" kits I have prepared for the April Class.

I think I went over the top this time making up kits. I have enough ready for two and half classes!
So with that being said here are two of the April cards.

I Thought for sure I did a CASE from Ann Schach or Linda Callahan on this SU "Hey Chick" set, but I've looked back in their blogs and can't find this one... HHHHHmmmm.  Was it YOU Nance Leedy?  I just LOVE this "Hey Chick" set. I've made so many different cards using this set I can't count... and I absolutely just love them all! I was inspired by so many people lately I can't even remember who I CASED...  so for that I apologize. .... but I DID CASE a couple of the April kits.

This next card is using another company's stamps and dies.  Cute, cute, cute!  Right?
I made my own background using a stencil and dauber. The limes were two toned by half inking the stamp the second time around. Then... I used two more greens on the leaves. A few sequins to add some sparkle and fizzle... I know I like my tequila with a little fizzle!

Happy Easter Waldo!

Another quick post to share one of the April cards the girls can pick for class.
I feel they are like these two samples are the same but different. It reminds me of  the "find Waldo" books the kids played with....

Can you find what is different? ... Zoom in if necessary... there are 3 slight differences.

Please leave a comment and let me know your finds!
Then tell me which you prefer.
Hugs
Diane.

February Fun!

Well it's that time again. The first Wednesday of the month is tomorrow! So happy I'm ready for the February class already. I have been busy making kits and sometimes I just get carried away! I have so many kits made up I don't know if I should Choose the 4 cards they make or let them grab a bucket. ... ????
The only problem with not choosing at least THREE of them, is I might get stuck with a lot of Valentine kits..... ya know?
Anyway... let me share what I have prepared and then I'll wait for your input. Okay? (Nancy?).
This first one I chose for a friend of mine who likes to send "TEA" theme cards to her Great Aunt.  Below is a close up of the little velum envelope which is stamped with the SU "Sealed with Love" set as well as the sentiments on top.  This card also uses two strips of the SU "Sending Love" Valentine DSP pack, which is layered under the SU "Falling Petals" embossed piece. Not sure why they named it petals.. because it's clearly HEARTS! But I love this folder.

Next up is random card I made for my beau! This is not part of the class but I like how it turned out.
Here's a peek inside, again using the same stamp set.
Here is a close up of the edge die in the from the "Love Notes" bundle.
Love this die.
I also have a super cute card kit using the SAB "Hey Chick" set.... however
I forgot to take a photo of it!
Executive Decision Time.......
I believe I should stick with a Valentine theme for at least 3 .... so this would be the first card in this post along the 2 others from the last post.  They can do one other non Valentine  which will be the "Hey Chick" card ... and that will be my February class.
Below is the table favors using more of the DSP from the 6 x 6 pack.
Each is a little different.
I used up some old Hugs & Kisses ribbon to close.

Each little treat holds 2 Hershey Nuggets.

So there you have it!

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

My Funny Valentine

💝💚💚💘💘💘💘💘💘💘💘Hi there .... It's almost time to be sending out those heart throb cards and notes to our Valentines!
I really am hoping to make about 50 small treats for work; something simple like a tag,
but in the meantime I had to have a few kit ideas ready for the February class.
So with that said.... here is just a few.
This is a sample of the "funny" version.
The cards are identical except for the veggies.
Did you notice I added a toothpick on this Olive?

There are several Vegetables the girls can choose from in this set.

Below is another more traditional Valentine with two different inside sentiments.

The die-cut cover frame plate does all the work on this one.
I added a strip of DSP under the sentiment on the W.W. CS piece.
Then I finished off with a baker's twine bow glued to the lower front center
of the sentiment strip.
I also glued on a few of the heart inserts from the die cut frame.

Hugs

Happy New Year! January Class

Well Happy New Year to everyone who may read this! (Hi Nancy!)....
Here is a quick look at the cards the girls will make for the January class Wednesday night, plus the table favors for class participants.  I chose Valentine's for my favor theme.
This first card is one of my favorites.
One card is done in bright colors and the second a tone on tone.
The girls can pick which ever they like best, plus I have TONS of DSP to choose from.
The second is the same as far as choices. On has vertical stripes and one has diagonal stripes.
They can also make which ever sentiment they want.
The third can be used for many occasion depending on the sentiment stamp used.
Also the die cuts can be many different colors... I like the swish added to show movement.
The fourth card can be a Wedding, Anniversary easily if the baby swan is left off. With the baby it makes a great Baby Shower card.  Again you can make the swans, light pink, beige, or plain white. All look fabulous in my opinion.
Last is two of the 8 different Valentine favors.

Thanks for stopping by and please let me know what you think.
Diane
