I'm Dreaming of a Wine Christmas....

Just another quick post to show you a few items I made to go together in my cute decorated bags for two different groups of work gal pal gifts. One group is current and one group is alumni. Both groups get together each year and exchange dinner, laughs, and a small gift; but the gift is only suppose to be a token gift, nothing extravgant. .
To start I made some cute tags to go on the cheap in-expensive wine
You have to zoom in to see that I die cut the word CHEERS in Gold and Bronze.
Don't they look cute?
Here is shot of the tags on the wine bottles.

These are little Santa treat boxes with two Ghirardelli Christmas chocolates inside.
They were made using the Curvy Keepsake Box Die.
Here is the tag for the box of 6 All Occassion cards for each girl.

I added a chipboard inital on each box.
They are also getting a bag of homamade candy as well, but it's too early to make that.
Hope you liked!

Holiday Time is Near

Just a quick peek at my table set-ups for the November Card Class.
I used the Ornamental Pine for a Christmas theme on the girls' bags that collect their projects... and a Thanksgiving theme on the goodie bag table favor. I used a stamp set from last year along with the new Scallop Tag Topper punch and some tiny clothes pins.

The table favor also uses the New Four Feathers stamp and die bundle.

Hope you like my class table favors.

Happy Birthday with a Twist & Sprinkles on Top!

Here is a card for my dear friend Nancy's birthday. Her big day was actually in May, but she was still in Florida...lucky girl. Anyway... my group like to celebrate "special" birthdays all year long... so here the card I will give her along with the Wine of the Month... yum.
We are all going to "Painting with a Twist" to celebrate with a girls night out.

I made a shaker card with faux "sprinkles" inside.
I'm sure she'll like it.
What do you think?
Here is a few photos of the event!
The whole gang!
Amber, ME, Sherriee... and the birthday girl photo bombing!
Birthday girl Nancy and Sharon... more wine?
 Birthday girl Nancy with Bev.

We had a BLAST!
And No Waste!
 Aahhhhhh.

Trick or Treat - A "CASE" of Favors

I want to share a few of the treat favors that I made to hand out at my card class and a few people at work.  I CASE'd both from some of the great inspiration I found during my blog surfing. Seriously I've been so busy at work I don't have the time to think of something unique... So I admit, I did CASE both. Thanks for the inspiration.

The first was a CASE from Dawn Griffith's Sept tutorial video of Fry Box Frankie. I used these for my October card class favors.

He is just so cute..... don't you think?

Then second was a CASE from Patti MacLeith... Again ..CUTE! Right?

I used a different tag because the one that Patti used is being borrowed by a friend...I also changed up the colors but still a cute & easy little treat that doesn't need a lot of candy, but shows you gave a lot of thought. I'm going to pass these out at work.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment.
 I love reading your thoughts.

Happy Fall Ya'll - {PP212} challenge

Today's post is for The Paper Player's {PP212} Happy Fall Ya'll challenge. Here is my FALL card.

I used the new SU Blackberry Bliss cardstock for my card base, love its rich deep color. I used the same color ink on my leaves along with More Mustard, Hello Honey, and Crisp Cantaloupe inks. Then I spritzed with water and crinkled in my hand to give it weathered look. The final touch of a twine tied button finished the embellishment.

The sentiment was created by stacking 6 die cuts together - I used SU's multi-purpose glue. I started with 3 layers of melon mambo on the bottom, then two layers of blackberry bliss and one Hello Honey on top. I really love the how it gives dimension and shadow.
 Hope you like it too.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave a comment to give your thoughts!

Back to School - Gramma's Class

This post is for my grandkids... just to drop a note and a check for perhaps some school needs.
My grandkids started school two weeks ago already. We always try to tell them we believe in them and that as long as they try their best, well that's good enough for us. We all can't be the best at everything, but we can try our best.

They also love to do crafts with me when they come to Michigan to visit us.
They are like little sponges that soak up the inspiration from card samples of my previous card classes. They never stop saying "can we make that one Gramma", "can we make that one?" OF course we can is always my reply.

But truely.... they are so creative all on their own and I'm amazed every time I see what they create.  So in honor of being such good students, I'm making this card to hold my letter.  I just want to remind them I miss them, I wish them a wonderful school year, and to try to love learning.  Yeah right.
Here is my card.

Here is the inside.

I always tell them to use thier imaginations and never be afraid to be different. Gramma says: "there are no mistakes in class; just opportunities". We had some pretty fabulous opportunities together!

Back to School - Fall Fun

My grandkids live out of state and start the school year much earlier than here in Michigan.
I know FALL is right around the corner, but I'm not rushing summer gone just yet.

Here is a cute little card I made for my grandkids to give to their new teachers. They are all the same, with slight variations. I think they are adorable using the technique I learned last year from PTI using a butterfly die. You can really use just about any die that works with your imagination!

On this one I used HALF of the die cut to the left. The design has a white background.

On this one I used HALF of the die cut to the right...and the design is on a vanilla background.
Both are cute to me... what do YOU think?

Cute as a Button {PP207}

Today I have just a short post to play along with "The Paper Players" challenge {PP207} theme... "Cute as a Button".
Here is a card I made last weekend trying to use up some of the piles of scraps I had laying on my craft table!  I said I was not getting one thing out until I used up what was right in front of me.
Here's one of my cards that will work for the challenge.
My buttons are paper buttons, but they looked cute as flower centers of Crisp Cantaloupe DSP against the Baked Brown Sugar CS. It is really hard to see from this photo, but if you zoom in,  I used the large polka dot embossing folder [love] on the black strip of card stock to go with the many circles.

Hugs.

Just Playing with my "Stuff"!

WOW.... I have TWO posts in TWO days!

Here are a few more cards I made with all my new loot! I purchased so must stuff!!! OMG!  It's going to take for EVER to open it all; and that's not all of it!  I should have taken a picture of the entire order!

This first card I made is basically a CASE from Linda Callahan. I changed up it up a little but the design idea is all hers.
Isn't that little guy hanging just a cutie!

The second one is a single layer stamping.... but still love the way it came out.
I also used all the new IN color inks.

Hope you like these as well!

SMILE with New Catty Fun

Today is a quick post to show off some of the new items from our new BIG catty.
New IN colors in cardstock and DSP and  new single stamp "A Little Smile".
Here is a cute card I made for friends that need a hug or two and a smile for sure.
They recently lost a loved one.

I apologize for the poor photo ...I took it with my phone, and apparently there was not enough light either!
It really looks dull here, but I assure you it's bright and cheery.
I also used the new BIG polka dot embossing folder.
If you click on the photo you can see the BIG embossed polka dots. LOVE THEM!
I tried to use all new IN colors in the card stock, DSP, and markers/inks with blender pens on my focal point and then popped it up with dimensionals.
Done!

Wedding for a Friend

This post is to show the card I made for one of our golfer friends. She had a destiny wedding in the KEYS and got married on the beach!  She made a beautiful bride.

Even though we couldn't be with her, we were with her in spirit.  So we celebrated in the parking lot of the golf course after golf last week. How fun.

The card and gift was from our group of golfers - A backyard fire pit, along with all the fixings for SMORES; Some metal PIE irons, a galvanized beer tub with stand and a few more goodies. . She was surprise and excited to see how our gift will fit right into their new home backyard.

May Birthday Maddness!

May is such a busy busy month for birthday in my world. The dates for brithdays are ... May 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 (2), 9, 11, 18, 20, 22, 26, 28 & 31!!! Whew!

So I started making cards like crazy this weekend.. Today I am going to post just one of the cards I've completed this weekend because I know my brother won't be looking on my blog. His birthday is the 9th. Although many are before that  some I can't post until after the birthday... because I don't want the recipients to see it before they arrive in the mail!  They DO or MAY peek at my blog!

Anyway.... Today's card is for my younger brother and it's very simple die cuts and stamping.

I used Kraft card stock as the base and background stamps to add fake texture!
The die cuts are popped up with pop-dots, except the die cut "58" on the shirt which is
his age.  Well one down and many more to go!

Just Sayin' Color challenge {Paper Players 178}

Hi everyone.
I really have been trying to play along with the challenges and seems I just can't get the right combo done. I have several cards I've made for my classes and or just for something I need to mail, but for some reason they don't meet the criteria of the challenge. So after browsering today I ran downstairs and thought I'd create a REALLY quick card today and try to post today as well in one of my favorite spots.... The Paper Players (178) color challenge.
Here are the colors picked by LeAnne that  I needed to use. So fresh and cheery, right?
Here is my card using some New and Old stamp sets.
I really like the new set "Just Sayin;"  and I LOVE the Grunge and other background sets this year.

Here are a couple more cards I had made from last week, using the same set but I didn't have the right colors for the challenge.

This is Coastal Cabana but it looks like pistachio in this photo?

Second photo is same card without the button ??? Hmmmm

This one almost made it if you pretend the blue is cabana instead of indigo... {smile}.

Thanks for stopping!
Hope you leave a comment because I love to read what you think.

Hugs
Diane
