Welllllll it's been a while since I've posted, or peeked, or checked my email, or anything!
Gramma is POOPED! My daughter & three grandkids have been visiting for 11 days and my little angels went to bed early tonight to rest up for their early morning flight, so I thought I'd take a peek at my favorite blogs since I can't sleep myself.
So it's going to be a quick post for two challenges; the Pals Paper Arts - "Summertime and the Livin' is Easy" & Cas-ual Fridays "Cakes, Candy, Ice Cream and More"! What says "Summertime" better than three angel grandkids and Ice Cream! And we had plenty of it too!
So that is my inspiration for this challenge; here is my card.
It was easy and quick and needs very little explanation. The card base is crumb cake layered with a piece of blushing bride designer series paper.
I used three of the same image from "Pretty Postage" stamped in cherry cobbler ink on very vanilla then punched with the postage stamp punch and matted in cherry cobbler cs, then assembled at different angles to add interest.
The main image ice cream cone is stamped from "Sweet Scoops" in chocolate chip (what else?) and the ice cream is pretty in pink ink, with cherry cobbler sprinkles on very vanilla. (umm I'm getting hungry for yet another ice cream cone!) The sentiment is from "Swirls and Curls" (summer mini hostess) also stamped sideways in cherry cobbler ink then matted in early espresso cs and popped up with dimensionals.
I finished it off with a brad bow using pretty in pink ribbon and large brad that was attached with a glue dot.
The inside is finished off with some yummy touches of the front. Even though I have made this card before, I like it every time I do... and it always makes me hungry for ice cream!
